Colorado Territorial Territorial Facilities (CTCF), colloquially known simply as "Territorial," is a medium-sized security jail in CaÃÆ' à ± in City, Colorado. CTCF is the oldest prison in the Colorado DOC system. It was built in 1871 as a territorial prison and became a state prison in 1876. The Colorado DOC system has only two hospitals, one of which is located at CTCF. The others are located in Denver Reception & amp; Diagnostic Center (DRDC).
From the 1890s to the 1990s, the Colorado death row was located in the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility. The execution room is also located in this prison. In the 1990s, Colorado State Prison was opened, and death row inmates moved there. In 2012, the Sterling Correctional Facility becomes a convict prisoner in Colorado.
