The Microsoft Natural Keyboard is an ergonomic keyboard for computers, introduced in 1994. It was designed for Microsoft by Ziba Design. The keyboard is a separate keyboard with every half of the keyboard separated and tilted up and down from the center of the keyboard. This key setting is ergonomically designed to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome and other recurring strain injuries associated with typing for long periods of time. Another innovation is an integrated wrist pad that helps ensure proper posture while sitting in front of the computer and reduces tension in the neck, arms, and wrists. The keyboard also introduces three new keys intended for the upcoming Microsoft operating system: two Windows logo buttons between the Ctrl and Alt keys on each side, and the Menu buttons between the proper Windows and Ctrl keys. Although it is not the first ergonomic keyboard, it is the first widely available $ 100- $ 100 offer. The keyboard gained popularity quickly, selling over 600,000 per month at its peak.
Like most Microsoft keyboards, software (Microsoft IntelliType) is bundled for Mac OS X and Windows, allowing users to customize function keys and modify keys extensively.

Natural Elite Keyboard
Microsoft Natural Keyboard has undergone several improvements and refreshments since its introduction. The first is the Natural Keyboard Elite, introduced in 1998. Elite has an unfamiliar layout of key blocks normally found above the cursor keys. Another common criticism of the Elite is that the 'reverse key' layout T has turned into a cross-like layout, with the left and right arrow keys side by side and the up/down buttons grouping them from the top and bottom, increasing the distance between the vertical buttons. Another significant change is the foot that can be adjusted with the keyboard. While the original Microsoft Natural Keyboard has a leg on the front, the Elite and its successors have legs behind. Natural Keyboard Elite is produced in at least two different color schemes; white with black and black letters with white text.
Keyboard Pro Nature
The third iteration is Natural Keyboard Pro, which was introduced in 1999. Natural Keyboard Pro regains the original inverted T-layout of the cursor keys, and obtains a row of program shortcut keys along the top edge of the board, including multimedia keys and Power management keys. In Windows versions prior to Windows Vista, Microsoft Intellitype software is required to configure shortcut key behavior. Vista and Windows 7 have the ability to customize shortcut key behavior without additional software while using the "internet keyboard" keyboard layout. Some other modern operating systems, such as FreeBSD and most Linux distributions, have comparable configuration options. Natural Keyboard Pro also includes a two-port internal USB hub, which is usually used to connect other input devices such as a mouse or trackball, but this is dropped on the next iteration.
Natural Multimedia Keyboards
In 2004, Microsoft introduced the rejuvenated Natural Multimedia Keyboard, which reworked the rows of multimedia buttons and included the controversial F Lock feature, which initially debuted on the Microsoft Office Keyboard. Another common criticism is that although the stacked arrow keys from previous generations have been fixed by returning to the standard inverted T layout, the Home/End/Del/Ins/Page up/down of the set has been changed to 2x3 vertical layout, with the key Insert moved to the key "PrtScn/SysRq", and expanded del key. On Natural Multimedia Keyboards, the status indicator lights for Num lock, Scroll lock, and Caps lock are moved from among alphanumeric key banks to more traditional locations above and to the right of the backspace key. Natural Multimedia Keyboards are produced in at least three different color schemes, including white with blue accents, black with silver accents, and white with black accents.
Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
In September 2005, Microsoft introduced the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. This keyboard delivers significantly altered ergonomic design, including an integrated imitation leather armrest, concrete bank lock, and removable front booth to help straighten the wrist and allow the finger -find down naturally. to the button. The multimedia keys have been redesigned, and the home/final key set has been fixed by returning to the standard 3x2 horizontal rectangular layout. Lock F Lock now defaults to "on", provides the original function key feature rather than the new "enhanced" function, and keeps its settings on reboot. 4000 has indicator light for Caps lock, etc. Move back to between the key banks, even though they are now under the Space bar, rather than above. 4000 is also significantly quieter for typing, with fewer unique "click clack" noises on the old keyboard. The space bar, however, has been reported by some reviewers to be unbelievably noisy and hard to press. The 4000 is available in two variants, Business and Retail. The exact difference is not known, although product descriptions imply that the packaging is different, and the price is often slightly higher for the Business edition.
Keyboard Natural Ergonomic 7000
In June 2007, Microsoft introduced the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 7000. This keyboard has the same keypad layout as the older Natural Ergonomic 4000. The biggest difference between the two is the Natural Ergonomic 7000 keyboard is wireless. In addition to the color palette, the other difference is Natural Ergonomic 4000 including a light indicator that gives a signal when Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock and F Lock have been pressed and active. In their place, on the Natural Ergonomic 7000 keyboard, there is a battery indicator light.
Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Desktop 7000 comes with a wireless USB dongle that connects the mouse and keyboard. Attachment to elevate the front of the keyboard separately in the box. The Ergonomic 7000 Natural Ergonomic Keyboard is also equipped with a very short, user manual, a disc containing Microsoft Intellitype and Intellipoint software, and is usually bundled with Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000.
