San Joaquin Valley College ( SJVC ) is a nonprofit junior college with fifteen campuses located in California, USA and Online divisions. SJVC was founded in 1977 by Robert and Shirley Perry. SJVC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Community and Junior Schools (ACCJC) from the Association of Schools and Western Colleges (WASC), an accredited institution recognized by the Higher Education Accreditation Board and the US Department of Education. San Joaquin Valley College is a private institution and is approved to operate as an accredited institution in the state of California by Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
Colleges offer certificates, Associate of Science degrees and continuing education opportunities in Health, Business and Technology.

Histori
San Joaquin Valley College was founded in April 1977 by Robert and Shirley Perry in response to a growing need for professional medical assistant instruction. The first class consists of three students who are eager to pursue a career in Medical Assisting. This class is taught in Visalia, California by Shirley Perry, who was one of the first Certified Medical Assistants in the State of California and a professional development leader at the time. In 1987, the Visalia campus moved to its current location as a result of several expansions. The new site was built to accommodate the expanding campus and corporate offices, which in 2003 would move to a separate Visalia location.
Mark and Michael Perry, the sons of Robert and Shirley, serve as the President and CEO of the company. Under them, college continues to grow and achieve regional accreditation through ACCJC-WASC.
The South Expansion begins with a campus at Rancho Cucamonga which is moved to Ontario in 2013. In particular, the campus marks the first expansion of the College out of the central and southern San Joaquin Valley.
In 2004, SJVC opened Hanford extension of Visalia campus as well as Online division, enabling SJVC to offer career training programs throughout the United States. In the same year, he opened the Modesto campus, which moved to Salida in 2008. Recently, SJVC opened the Delano campus in 2015.
In 2005, the Rancho Cordova campus opened, marking the northernmost location of SJVC. The Hesperia campus opened in July 2009. The Temecula campus opened in 2011. Additional campus 2012 includes the Lancaster and San Diego campuses.
Other campuses include Bakersfield, Madera, Fresno and the Fresno-Aviation campus.

Accreditation
SJVC received full accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Community and Junior High Schools of the Western School and Colleges Association (WASC) in 1995, then again in 2001, 2007 and 2013. SJVC is approved to operate as an accredited institution by the California Private postsecondary Education Bureau. Approval to operate means that SJVC has been found in accordance with the standards set forth in the California Private postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (California Education Code, Title 3, Division 10, Section 59, Chapter 8) and Title 5, Division 7.5 - Personal Education postsecondary from California Code of Regulations).
SJVC also has several program accreditations and approval by authorizing agencies and authoritative associations in the subject area.

Campus
The main campus of SJVC is in Visalia. The branch campus is located in Hesperia, Fresno, Madera, Delano, Bakersfield, Modesto, Rancho Cordova, Lancaster, San Diego, Temecula and Ontario, as well as the expansion of the Visalia campus at Hanford, Fresno's aviation campus at Fresno Yosemite International Airport, and Online division. Each campus offers different career programs and home administration staff. Programmatic offers, opening and starting dates listed below are subject to change.
The SJVC Visalia campus opened in 1977. SJVC Visalia offers career training programs in business, medical, and technical fields including Corrections, Business Administration, Dental Hygiene, Registered Nursing, and HVAC.
In 2004, SJVC opened a campus in Hanford as an extension of the Visalia campus. SJVC Hanford offers business, technical, and medical degree completion programs. SJVC Hanford offers certificate and associate degree programs in Corrections, Medical Offices and Clinical Medical Assistance.
The Bakersfield SJVC campus opened in 1981. SJVC Bakersfield offers career training programs in business, medical and technical fields, making it the second largest campus in terms of program offerings. Bakersfield SJVC Certificate and degree programs including Corrections, Emergency Services & amp; Safety Management, Medical Sonographic Diagnostics, Surgical Technologist, and HVAC. The Bakersfield campus also houses several programs offered only on one campus.
SJVC Fresno opened in 1985 and offers business, medical and technical career training in 11 subject areas. The career education courses available at SJVC Fresno include Corrections, Medical Offices, Pharmaceutical Technology, and HVAC. SJVC Fresno is the only campus that offers Veterinary Technology. The aviation campus is connected with Fresno-Yosemite International Airport and opened in 1991. The only available career training on this campus is for Aviation Maintenance Technology.
In 2001, SJVC opened a campus in Rancho Cucamonga which is the southernmost campus of the San Joaquin Valley College network. In 2013, the campus moved to Ontario. SJVC Ontario offers business, technical and medical certificates and degree programs in 9 subject areas. Career training is available in Business Administration, Medical Office, Pharmaceutical Technology, Dental Hygiene, and Industrial Technology. SJVC Rancho Cucamonga is the only physical campus that offers career training in Construction Management.
The SJVC Modesto campus opened in 2004 and offers business, medical and technical career training in 11 areas. Career education courses are available in Business Administration, Medical Offices, Clinical Medical Assistance, and Industrial Technology.
SJVC Rancho Cordova opened in 2005 and offers career training for medical field with Rescue and Medical Assistance program. The Rancho Cordova campus is the northernmost point on the San Joaquin Valley College Network.
In 2004, SJVC began offering online career training. The online division provides completion of degrees in business, technical and medical studies. Career training courses are available at Medical Office, Business Administration, Clinical Medical Assistance, Construction Management, Human Resource Administration, and Information Technology.
The Hesperia SJVC campus opened in 2009 and offers career training in business, medical. and technical fields. Career education courses are available in Medical Offices, Corrections, Pharmaceutical Technology, Clinical Medical Assistance, and Industrial Technology.
SJVC Temecula opened in 2011 and offers career training for business, medical, and technical fields. Courses include Business Administration, Medical Office, Clinical and Administration Medical Assistance, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Respiratory Therapy.
The SJVC Lancaster campus opens in the fall of 2012. SJVC Lancaster offers career training programs for business, medical, and technical fields. Certificate and Degree Programs include Pharmaceutical Technology, Clinical Medical Assistance, Corrections, and Industrial Technology.
SJVC San Diego opened in 2012. The college offers Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.
SJVC Madera opens in 2014 and enrolls students for Medical Assistance, Medical Offices and Business Administration.
SJVC Delano opens in July 2015 and enrolls students for Medical Assistance, Medical Offices and Business Administration.
SJVC Porterville opened in March 2016 and is enrolling students for Medical Assistance, Medical Offices and Business Administration.
