Special Needs Facilities Lois M. DeBerry is the maximum security prison in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Improvement.
Opened in 1992, this facility accommodates prisoners with a variety of complex medical issues. This facility has a turnover of 250 beds per month.

Special Needs Facilities Lois M. DeBerry is equipped with three treatment units, as well as a safe community hospital to provide inpatient and outpatient care. Inmates include those in need of mental health interventions, those recovering from serious illness or surgery, inmates with long-term medical needs, and inmates whose treatment regimens can not be managed at other facilities in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
