1976-2006: Kehidupan awal dan awal karir

William Leonard Roberts II was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and grew up in Carol City, Florida. After graduating from Miami Carol City High School, he attended a black university called Albany State University with a soccer scholarship. Roberts worked as a correctional officer for 18 months from December 1995, until his resignation in June 1997.

In his early years at Suave House Records, Roberts initially debuted under the pseudonym of Teflon Da Don. He made his recording debut on the song "Is not Shhh to Discuss" on Erick Sermon's single album for DreamWorks, Def Squad Presents Erick Onasis . In the mid-2000s, he changed his name to Rick Ross. He lowered his stage name from former drug boss "Freeway" Rick Ross, who had nothing to do with him.

After being signed by Suave House Records, the former label for the duo duo 8Ball & amp; MJG, he finally signed an agreement with Slip-n-Slide Records, which has been under the Def Jam label since 2006. While signed to Slip-n-Slide, Roberts toured fellow rapper Trick Daddy and made guest appearances on Slip-. n-Slide album.

Her debut album Port of Miami was released in August 2006 and debuted at the top of the Billboard US album chart of 200, with sales at 187,000 units during the first week. Christian Hoard of Rolling Stone predicts that it will be "the biggest rap record of the summer". The second single is "Push It", which takes a sample of "Scarface (Push It to the Limit)", the theme song from the Scarker gangster film. The music video for "Push It" is modeled after the movie. During that time, Ross made guest appearances on two singles from DJ Khaled's debut Listennn... Album : "Born-N-Raised" and "Holla at Me". 2009: Deeper than Rap

I see games and businesses and all the different aspects, lots of great lyricists in the corner who will never understand the business properly and know how to market themselves and get a position where they can earn capital. I see all the strategies people use and what makes them successful. What makes Birdman relevant today after selling 50 million records? That's my intrigue. To see Jay-Z's class, his achievements and see how he sits back and accurately make his moves.

A song from the album titled "Valley of Death" is what stands out for MTV reporters. In the song, Ross spoke briefly about his controversial duties as a prison guard. "Keep trillas, nigga, never have a gun and a badge," he emphasized, leaving the word that he was indeed a law officer. "Keep watching well, smoke on a hundred sacks/Back on the day I sold crack for some good kicks/school Skippin ', I saw my friend stabbed with an ice breaker/Can not criticize nigga who tried to get a job/Better get smart, younger brother man, live yours. "Then, he implies that when he works as a corrective officer, he is on the streets. "Only live once and I have two kids/And for me to feed them, I'll get two shows," she knocked. "I will shovel, I will C.O./So we can bow our heads and pray over the meatloaf." Although, he still does not give an explanation for lying about being C.O. to start with, nor does he explain why he failed to pay child support for his children.

The cover of the May 2009 edition of the XXL magazine, titled "Rick Ross Up in Smoke", featured Ross wearing Louis Vuitton sunglasses. After the publication, a spokesman for the luxury goods maker contacted XXL to inform them that Ross is sporting fake sunglasses on the cover image. Controversy

The feud with 50 Cent

In January 2009, Ross started a feud with rapper 50 Cent because he considered it the wrong way at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2008. 50 Cent told news sources that he did not remember seeing Ross there. In late January, "Mafia Music", by Ross, leaked onto the Internet. There are some lines that do not seem to fit 50 Cent. A few days later, 50 Cent released "Officer Ricky (Go Head, Try Me)" in response to Ross's disparaging remarks on his "Mafia Music" song.

Before going to Venezuela, 50 Cent uploaded a video entitled "Warning Shot", where he stated: "Rick Ross- I'm fucking your life for fun." In addition, 50 Cent released the first series of the cartoon "Officer Ricky". Beginning in February, 50 Cent once again made a video that he uploaded to YouTube where he interviewed "Tia", the mother of one of Ross's sons. He verifies that he is a correctional officer and claims his entire person is fake and fake. On February 5, 2009, The Game, which 50 Cent has "beef" with, calls Seattle R & amp; B station KUBE. When asked about beef between 50 Cent and Ross, Game sided with 50 Cent and said that things did not look good for Ross. He offers to help, stating, "Rick Ross, holla to your son, man," and, "50 eat you, son." On his album Deeper Than Rap , Ross 50 Cent refers in the song "In Cold Blood". A video for the song was released that depicted 50 Cent imitations of the funeral. Once released, Ross declares that he has ended 50 Cent career. On the same day, Ross released a new song titled "Push 'Em Over The Edge". The next day, 50 Cent released the controversial video "A Psychic Told Me", disagreeing DJ Khaled. On February 12, 50 Cent responded with "Tia Told Me", along with Lloyd Banks "Officer Down" and Tony Yayo's "Somebody Snitched" responses.

In an interview, 50 Cent says Ross is "Albert From CB4 .You have seen the movie? He is Albert," he added. "It's never worse than this. You get a man who is a correctional officer out and base his entire career on writing material from the perspective of the drug dealer."

On January 30, 2013, 50 Cent claimed via Twitter that Ross's sneak shooting on his birthday two days ago was "staged", rekindled the feud.

A year later, on March 28, 2014, Rick Ross was asked about his hostility with 50 Cent. He declares that he does not want to talk about her anymore, and that he's done with hostility.

Recently, his hostility with 50 Cent has reappeared. The reason for the second reignition is that of the MMG label, MM, who defended his mentor and called 50 on his <4> 4/4 EP.

lyrics controversy

In the line on the rapper Rocko song "UOENO", Rick Ross knocks the line, "Put molly all in champagne/He does not even know/I take him home and I enjoy it/He does not even know it."
