Utah Department of Corrections ( UDC ) is a government agency dedicated to the management and supervision of convicted criminals in the State of Utah. Currently headed by Executive Director Rollin Cook. It has its headquarters in the Utah Department Setup Administration Building in Draper.

Division
The Utah Correction Department consists of several divisions and facilities.
Adult Trial and Exemption
This division oversees 18,000 offenders in the community. The division has five Community Correctional Centers: Bonneville, Atherton, Orange Street, Northern Utah Correctional Center, and the Center for Pardon Care. Limit is divided into six regions. Each region within the AP & P division has agents and correctional officers performing various functions in court and in the field. AP & P Agencies are law enforcement officers who are certified and have statewide police authority. In addition to monitoring offenders on the ground, AP & P agents are responsible for preparing reports on offenders for the district court and the Board of Forgiveness and the Liberation of Utah.
Administrative Services Division
This division is placed in the Utah Department of Utility Administration Building and manages the UDC Correction Training Academy.
Construction & amp; Facility Division Management
Managed by a vast Division of Construction Facilities & amp; Management, this division manages the construction and maintenance of UDC facilities.
Prison Operations Division
The Prison Operation Division or the DPO manages two Utah State correctional facilities, including Utah Central Utility Facility and Utah State Penitentiary. The state also sent more than 1,000 inmates to county jail facilities around Utah through a prison contract program.
Training
This division is responsible for providing appropriate staff and training managers to ensure that employees are ready to carry out the right tasks, and supervisors are equipped to manage their staff.
Utah Correctional Industries
UCI employs prison inmates who work to produce items such as signs, furniture and embroidery. UCI mostly provides goods and services to government agencies, although also contracts with various private industry businesses on specific projects.
From 2007 to 2014, UCI runs a friendly horse operation in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management. The program has since been discontinued, citing ongoing budget disagreements.
Programming
The Programming Division provides education, cognitive restructuring, sexual harassment treatment, substance abuse treatments, and other services for offenders both within the prison facility, or those in the field under supervision under the Adult & amp; Parole.

Operation
Utah previously required that all visits between detainees and their visitors be conducted in English. After the challenge of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the system terminates the rule.
The clerk crashed
Since the establishment of the Utah Correction Department, five officers have been killed while on duty.
