Mansfield Penitentiary (MANCI) is the Ohio Department of Prisons jail for a mixed-security state for men, located at 1150 North Main Street in Mansfield, Ohio, adjacent to historic Ohio State. The Ohio Richland Penitentiary is also located in Mansfield.

The facility was opened in 1990 and has a capacity of 2,523 inmates. In 2005 a state death penalty convict was transferred from Mansfield to Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown, Ohio. The inmates had been transferred to the Chillicothe Prison.

In July 2013, prisoner James David Myers engineered the runaway, using three ladders to measure the security fence. He was arrested the next day. Four correctional workers were dismissed in connection with the escape, for violations ranging from falsifying inventory documents to failing to respond to fencing alarms.
