The Arizona Department of Juvenile Correction ( ADJC ) is an Arizona state institution, headquartered in Downtown Phoenix.
Adobe Mountain School is the only secure facility managed by the agency and is an associate member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association. While Adobe Mountain School North has units for boys and girls, Adobe Mountain School South has units for boys.
The agency operates the Southwest Regional Adult Corruption Complex, a 200-bed capacity complex at Buckeye that is scheduled to open in 1997. At first it was supposed to be $ 190.5 million, but it was $ 19 million over budget. The Eagle Point School is in the complex. This facility was closed in 2009.
ADJC has been through 3 different directors in the last 3 years.
